The Polyclinic and Center for Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) we use, was founded in 1997 by a group of doctors. It offers a wide range of modern infertility services at affordable costs, including In-vitro fertilization (IVF), sperm micro-manipulation (ICSI), preimplantation diagnosis (PGD) and egg, sperm and embryo banking.
From its inception the founders aimed at providing the local population with modern, cutting-edge infertility services (mostly In-vitro fertilization) at affordable costs. In order to provide comprehensive care, the Center also offers other pregnancy related services, such as high-risk antenatal care, level II fetal ultrasound and genetic studies. The Clinics team of infertility experts, perinatologists, specialized nurses and embryologists is dedicated to deliver a patient oriented health care to it's patients. There are currently 20 Doctors associated with the IVF Center.
The Center will soon move to a new modern facility with operating and recovery rooms, IVF and genetic labs and outpatient clinic. The Director of the Center, is also the Chief of the Division of Reproductive Medicine at the University, where he and his colleagues conduct scientific and clinical research, focusing at developing IVF techniques and methods to improve the pregnancy rates and outcomes. The group has more than 50 scientific publications in local and international peer-reviewed journals and textbooks.
